Therapeutic Massage

My therapeutic massage is for anyone looking for a long-term solution to chronic pain and dysfunction. With this approach, I help you recover from injury and work on recurring issues that did not respond to other treatments. My goal is to restore function, create balance in the body and alleviate pain so that you can live comfortably.

Based on your intake assessment, I will develop a therapeutic massage treatment plan that may include a combination of

Neuromuscular Therapy: A form of soft tissue manipulation that aims to treat underlying causes of chronic pain involving the muscular and nervous systems. This medically oriented form of massage addresses trigger points (tender muscles points), circulation, nerve compression, postural issues, and biomechanical problems that can be caused by repetitive movement injuries.

Swedish Massage: Often referred to as relaxation massage, this is the therapy most people think of for “massage.” It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish therapy can be both relaxing and energizing. And it may even help after an injury.

Neural Reset Therapy: Bodywork that works directly with the nervous system to relieve pain and discomfort --quickly, naturally and comfortably.

Trigger Point Therapy (i.e. Myofascial / Rolfing): This therapy is used to release the tension and stiffness in your fascia—the dense, tough tissue that surrounds and covers all of your muscles and bones.
